The Folklore Capital Of Poland

Zakopane is the vibrant heart of the south. Its mountain slopes and abundant meadows have for decades attracted artists, nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike.

In winter, Zakopane is the largest ski resort in the country; in summer, it’s the most important base camp for hikers and climbers. The local dialect and folklore are unique among the different regions of Poland, and the Highlanders themselves are a tough – yet kind, and unsurpassingly hospitable.

The traditional wooden architecture and tasty local delicacies are additional jewels in Zakopane’s crown.
