There are endless reasons to be swept off your feet by Poland’s capitals, past and present. Warsaw, the modern capital, is a bustling metropolis with a turbulent history, and everyone can find something interesting there from a wealth of tourist attractions. If you prefer legends and tales of old, then the traditional capital of Kraków is for you. Settled upon the defeat of a dragon, magic still exists in Kraków’s cobbled streets, the Main Market Square, the legendary Wawel Castle and many more places. Nowadays, Kraków offers a harmonious blend of past and present with every step.
Generally considered the capital of the mountains and the mountain culture of the south of Poland, Zakopane sits at the foot of Mount Giewont on the mighty Tatra Mountains. With its breath-taking landscapes, traditional wooden architecture and delicious food that can satisfy every traveller’s expectations, it’s also become the leisure capital of Poland.
In Zakopane, the Tatras couldn’t be closer, and on this trip you definitely won’t be bored!
Arrival in Warsaw, transfer to hotel. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant in the evening. Overnight stay in Warsaw.
Breakfast in the hotel. Tour of Warsaw. We’ll see all the main tourist attractions in the city. We’ll go into the Old Town to show you the Royal Castle, the Old Market Square and the Barbican. Following the Royal Route, we’ll take in the Presidential Palace, the University of Warsaw, Holy Cross Church (home of Chopin’s heart), and the famous Copernicus Statue. We’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Then we’ll continue our tour by visiting the Łazienki Royal Park, with the Palace on the Water and the Chopin Monument. In the evening, we invite you for a traditional Polish Dinner in the Old Town.
Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Cracow, with lunch on the way. Arrival in Kraków. Check-in at the hotel, with dinner in the evening at a local restaurant, where the crackling flames of a blazing fire in the hearth will take us back to the depths of the 17th century!
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Guided tour around the Salt Mine (visit lasts around 3 hours). Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch we return to Cracow for a tour around the historic capital. We’ll meet with our guide, who will show us the Cathedral, Royal Tombs and the Sigismund Bell, all at Wawel Royal Castle, then walk back down along Grodzka Street to the Old Market Square. We’ll see the famous St. Mary’s Church, and walk along Florianska Street to the Barbican. Visit to Kazimierz – Cracow’s Jewish quarter. Dinner at a traditional Jewish restaurant, during which there will be live Klezmer music. This will be a special group booking, just for us.
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Zakopane and lunch. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. During the day, we’ll visit the peak of Kasprowy Wierch mountain.
Free time for shopping. Transfer to Warsaw. Lunch at a local restaurant. Arrival in Warsaw. Return flight home (late).
